How the 2017 Kia Cadenza is engineered to be more enjoyable

Front-wheel drive (FWD) may not exactly scream “engaging driving dynamics,” but Kia is looking to change your assumptions about FWD with the upcoming Kia Cadenza full-size sedan. The 2017 Cadenza has been retuned and refreshed for improved driving dynamics and efficiency.

It all starts with Kia’s 3.3-liter V6 engine that was retuned for the 2017 model. It boasts better efficiency than the outgoing model, especially now that it’s paired the brand’s first-ever FWD eight-speed automatic transmission. Shifts are quick and precise, and it the eight speeds make for an overall more enjoyable driving experience. It was also designed in-house (which is not always the case), and it sheds a few pounds from the transmission in its predecessor.

The 2017 Cadenza really glistened under the lights of the 2016 New York International Auto Show, and you can see it shine in the Kelley Blue Book video below. While we anxiously await the arrival of the 2017 model, we encourage you to reach out to the sales staff here at Napleton's Kia of Urbana for more information as well as its ETA to our Urbana, IL showroom. You’re also welcome to test drive any of the 2016 models in our comprehensive new Kia inventory to get a feel for what the Cadenza has to offer.
